Sr. Director of Market Engagement and New Business

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Position Responsibility: Drive new US business leveraging established personal and professional network to generate interactions, proposals and secure new professional services clients.  The successful candidate will build sales strategies and processes and will be responsible for onboarding new prospective clients to our procurement advisory and strategic sourcing managed services.

The qualified candidate will have the ability to develop relationships and create opportunities with CPOs and CFOs who are open to driving change within their procurement and sourcing organizations.  

The successful candidate will ultimately manage a portfolio of their high revenue clients and will deliver sales expansion opportunities while meeting Source One margin targets.

Job Description
  • Create actionable opportunities with US-based CFOs and CPOs to hire Source One for a variety of procurement and supply-chain oriented professional services.
  • Be a brand ambassador for Source One to the external market, leveraging your rolodex and experience to increase reputation.
  • Pursue and cultivate sales opportunities with Source One identified opportunities or market segments.
  • Create rapport and develop relationships with Sr. Executives and Procurement Managers
  • Understand prospective client’s needs and challenges and be able to develop and articulate a solution to support the client within Source One’s managed service portfolio.  Including: scoping the opportunity, supporting writing responses to the RFP and proposal process.
  • Develop c-suite sales strategies and campaigns
  • Deliver against Source One targets including: # of initial conversations, # of proposals submitted, % of closed (conversion rate) and time investments of internal Source One support team.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven experience building rapport with executives
  • Manage multiple prospects and projects concurrently
  • Commercial management techniques
  • Procurement processes, supply chain, strategic sourcing and vendor relationship management
  • Experience with proposal writing and negotiations 
  • A minimum of a BA or BS or substantial work experience.
  • Excellent writing, verbalization and communication skills suitable for C-suite level contacts
  • List of potential clients or previous relationships
  • Ability to travel as required
Success Metric
  • Minimum of three major new consulting clients during each calendar year
  • Revenue growth beyond initial contracted value
  • Origination of new clients that allows us to win work that results in $6M of incremental revenue per annum
The Rest
This position is a Monday-Friday role and shall be based in either the Philadelphia or Chicago geographies.  It WILL require onsite work at prospect sites and in our offices in either Chicago, Il or Willow Grove, PA.  Salary is D.O.E. and will consist of a base compensation draw with commission on the net revenue of all closed sales.   Source One rewards people who are self-starters and self-managers with excellent benefits package that includes: short/long term disability insurance, life insurance, health insurance, bonuses, 401K with employer contribution and a great team of colleagues.
