Sales Director

Location: Chicago, IL
As Source One’s new Sales Director, you’ll call upon your personal network and professional experience to support our Strategic Sourcing Services Team in achieving our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.  Source One will count on you to develop and continually improve its sales tactics, strategies, and processes. In time, you’ll manage a portfolio of clients while regularly creating materials for attracting new business and communicating Source One’s unique value proposition.

  • Build Source One’s pipeline by identifying sales opportunities across a personal network and a list of target companies.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Source One, its consultants, and its suite of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing services.
  • Explore opportunities to mature Source One’s brand and build new, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Quickly establish a rapport with prospective C-suite level professionals.  When necessary, teach them to communicate Source One’s value internally.
  • Leverage Source One’s Marketing unit, including media and partner outlets, to sustain existing relationships and identify prospects.
  • Facilitate the evolution of existing client relationships.
  • Establish systems for building better client relationships and securing a higher successful close rate on new business opportunities.
  • Develop campaigns and strategies specific to individual industries and spend categories.
  • Over time, take personal ownership and accountability for moving leads and prospects through the sales pipeline, including executing NDAs, leading scoping calls, developing a solution, writing the proposal, negotiating fees, drafting and refining contracts, etc.

Skills and Experience:
  • Evidence of disciplined yet flexible techniques for all stages of the sales process from initial prospecting, to solution development, through contracting. 
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and independently develop strategies for success.
  • Client-facing expertise including the ability to initiate and cultivate relationships at all maturity levels.
  • Written and verbal skills suitable for conversations with C-suite level executives.
  • Unimpeachable attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with sales and negotiation techniques across a variety of industries
  • Willingness to travel extensively to support sales needs.
  • Proven track record of selling consultation and/or professional services for 5+ years to executives in procurement, supply operations, and finance and to companies with $500 million or more in sales.
  • Minimum of BA or BS in addition to substantial professional experience.
  • Extensive list of previous clients and business relationships.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Monday-Friday
  • Based in either Source One’s Chicago or Willow Grove, PA office.
  • Salary is D.O.E. and includes commission based on the net revenue of closed sales.
